basically i love all of my friends and i like to shower them with adoration WHEREVER POSSIBLE!! can you tell i am really chipper lately
anyway nick and i didn't really do anything for valentine's yesterday because we don't get to see each other during the week, usually, so we did our valentinesy thing on the weekend, which was mostly eating delicious cupcakes and watching justified and playing fighting games (which i am terrible at EXCEPT FOR DOA4, SOMEHOW I WON MOST OF THE MATCHES). i baked the cupcakes and bought him flowers, and he gave me the sweetest fucking card oh my god!! i love that boy so much, HE IS JUST THE BEST BOY, OKAY, YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW

ANYWAY IT WAS AWESOME, when he handed it to me he was like "also i am paying off the rest of your pokémon reserve, happy valentines day c:" fffffffffffffffffawww i have the best boyfriend ok
ALSO SO marvel vs capcom 3 came out today but i guess last night at the walmart in edgewood they were having some kind of tournament, of mvc3, and the winner got a free copy?? anyway nick totally cleaned house but then he told me that he ended up giving his free copy to this 10 year old kid he played against, who was like, a really good sport and shook his hand before and after their match. omg, nick is the sweetest ;;

Jan. 8th, 2011 10:58 pmso i saw an essay somewhere recently that brought up the bit in the opening movie in BK:EWATLO where the party is in a boat on what is presumably the ocean, and something that looks like the whale jumps out of the water and shakes their boat (this is what i'm talking about). the essay asserts that this is the only scene in the opening movie that doesn't actually happen in game in some shape or form (the character introductions kind of don't count, since they were obviously written for more of a dramatic effect), and that this could likely be due to cuts on the story because it was too long. this is totally possible, since it's not uncommon in the dev cycle of a game for things like opening movies to be finished way ahead of the actual game.
HOWEVER. i'm not sure i quite agree, because if you look carefully at that bit in the video, it's only xelha, kalas, and gibari in the boat. so couldn't that be the thunderfish? i know that is not exactly what the thunderfish looks like, and they weren't in a boat when they encountered it, but again: if the video was made early in the dev cycle, they could've easily tweaked how they encountered it and what it looked like. plus you see the whale at the end of the opening video and i don't think they look like the same creature. BUT if we want to entertain the idea that it was in fact the whale in a section of the game that was cut...

in other news: STILL SICK with the same whatever as my last post, but it's some shitty viral infection that no one could do anything about. i spent several days in bed all writhing and hurty to the point of tears until my mom was like OKAY JESUS HERE IS SOME CANNABIS SPRAY, NOTHING ELSE IS WORKING. (my mother has this shit because she uses medical marijuana for chronic pain.) i'm really not a marijuana person although i really don't care if anyone else uses it, and this stuff tastes like ASS (it's a tincture of marijuana and everclear aughhh) but it WORKS. i am currently on the mend although my throat is hideously swollen and i can't really talk anymore. derp. i am kind of miffed that being sick has taken a whole week away from my vacation visiting at home? plus i haven't gotten to gamestop to get the shiny raikou yet ;__; AND i had to cancel going to the realms event i registered for today fffuuuu. BUT I AM GETTING BETTER THANK GODDDD.

Oct. 18th, 2010 02:12 pmjet, one of mika's puppies, died the other day and i just found out ._. like, ten minutes before class so i have been spending all of my time tearing up and trying not to go BAAAWWWW in the middle of class durrrhurrr
idk if anyone remembers but my mom's mika had puppies in april while i was home. i helped a little with the birthing of the puppies and a LOT with the raising and the feeding and the caring for until they were 8 weeks old, until they went home to their new owners. i know those puppies aren't mine, and they all have their own homes now, but i was a big part of their early lives, and i love them all like they were mine. and jet got hit by a car and i think i am reasonably upset about it. i can't imagine how his family feels; they have an 8 year old who's an only child, and jet was supposed to be like his brother. that boy is probably completely devastated.
